Berlin Swordtail

Diet: These omnivorous fish have a varied diet, feeding on both plant matter and small invertebrates in the wild. In captivity, they do well on high-quality flake or pellet food, supplemented with live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp, daphnia, and bloodworms, along with blanched vegetables like spinach or zucchini.

Breeding: Berlin Swordtails are prolific breeders, giving live birth to free-swimming fry. A separate breeding tank or abundant plant cover in the main tank can help protect the fry from being eaten by adult fish. They are excellent candidates for beginner aquarists looking to experience breeding livebearers.
