Bacolod Hobbyist Tip: Medaka have been historically bred in Japan to be appreciated from a top-down perspective. While they look beautiful in a standard glass aquarium, their true “Rayquaza dragon scales” look absolutely jaw-dropping when kept in dark-colored containers, ceramic pots, or outdoor mini-ponds on a porch or patio!

Because they are incredibly tough, they can handle the natural summer heatwaves of Bacolod with ease, provided they are kept under partial shade.
