Quick Overview
The Peppered Corydoras (Corydoras paleatus) is one of the most beloved and longest-kept species in the aquarium hobby. Originating from the river basins of South America, they feature a beautiful, highly variable pattern of dark metallic green and black spots over a pale silver body. Like all Corydoras, they are incredibly peaceful and highly social, spending their days playfully darting around the bottom of the tank using their sensitive barbels to search for sunken food.
